From Durban:
Approximately 3 hours travelling in total, follow the N3 past the Estcourt Ultra City, turn left after
approximately 8kms, left onto the R74, continue through Winterton, then from Bergville continue on this road for approximately 28kms after , turn left at the Northern Berg turn off, continue for
3kms, turn off to the right (well sign-boarded), continue until you get to reception.
From Johannesburg:
Due to the poor quality of the R74 road surface (Alternative route
to the N3) past the Sterkfontein Dam, we suggest traffic from
JoBurg and the Freestate should rather use the the route via Van
Reenens pass (N3) to turn off at the Bergville, Ladysmith off
ramp, bridge (R616). Turn right to Bergville, proceed until the Bergville, Harrismith junction (4 way). Turn right (R74) continue towards Harrismith for 27km's, turn off left onto the Northern Drakensberg road, continue for 3 km's, turn off right to the Berghouse and Cottages for 3 km's, on the unpaved driveway.
