The Sterkfontein dam is situated 1740 meters above sea level. Pristine and totally unpolluted water. Home to smallmouth and largemouth yellow fish, much sought after by fly-fisherman both locally and Internationally.
The guide resides at the dam and has been involved in fly-fishing at this venue for 22 years.
Two boats are available: a rubber duck and a fiberglass boat. Unlimited access to the entire dam. Food and refreshments are supplied. Tackle can be hired.
The Berghouse and Cottages are situated approx 25km from the dam.
Boat R1700 pday for 2, R2140 for 3, R2560 for 4, includes food, cold drinks and guiding.
Season begins October through to end March.
